For someone that's never done much fanart, here's my second in two months. This one is of Moon, of Martha Wells' Raksura books. (If you like fresh, original fantasy, check them out! :eager: www.marthawells.com/compendium… ) As with most of Ms Wells' books, the characters stayed in my head long after I finished reading. So when I saw the image by LaLunatique, it seemed the perfect reference for a Raksura.

Artistically, this is a bit of a departure for me. The painting of this was a challenge, as Moon is described as being black with a hint of bronze in direct sunlight. So, yeah, transparent watercolor probably not the best choice of medium for this. :-x But I love the lines, even if I didn't quite nail the color scheme. Live and learn, right?
