My cat Yoda passed away earlier in 2016, and though I've had this in my sketchbook since spring, I wasn't ready to paint it until recently. I'm glad I waited, because not only do I feel like I really captured him here but also because painting this helped me think of all the good memories of my nineteen years with him.
